When do you want a puppy?

Once you have made the big decision to dedicate your time and love to one of the GEB puppies, everyone answers the question with --- NOW! 

BUT -----(you knew that was coming didn't you?) 

Placement of a Guiding Eyes puppy takes 60-90 days! All this time is to give new raisers a chance to learn about the program, practice GEB dog-handling skills, and develop a sense of the commitment they make in raising a puppy for Guiding Eyes for the Blind.  In this region, we ask that interested people attend our Puppy Raiser Pre-Placement classes,  fill out the application, and have a home visit. After the home visit, we make a "reservation", and while they wait we want new raisers to "puppy sit" so they continue to learn about these wonderful dogs.
