Please help me grow into this harness.  Puppy raisers desperately needed.  An experience of a lifetime.

Welcome to the Montgomery County Region Puppy Raisers' site for Guiding Eyes for the Blind.  Our goal is to help potential guide dog puppies develop into well adjusted, mannerly young adults.  We devote our love and time to raise a potential guide dog from eight weeks to maturity.  During this time we teach manners and safely socialize our puppies with varied situations and everyday experiences.  After completing additional formal training, the pups we raise help blind men and women achieve greater dignity, security and independence. 

New puppy raisers are always in demand, and no prior experience is necessary to become one!  Guiding Eyes provides training and support for its volunteers by providing local classes, quarterly evaluations, videotapes and instruction manuals.  If you are interested in becoming a puppy raiser, please check out the Montgomery Region's Puppy Raising Program .
